The majority of Bacon and gammon products sold today contain high levels of additional water in order to add as much weight to your product as possible. This is because all meat is sold by weight at a price per kg. The more water added increases the weight of the bacon which enables certain suppliers to be significantly cheaper in price.

Our raw prices are more expensive than most, however once cooked they are as good value for money as any product on the market as other products that contain high water content will shrink and lose weight far more significantly as the water that has created the weight will disappear into vapour. A good example of this that we can all relate to is seeing the rashers of bacon you have put under the grill pan, reduce so significantly that it is up to 50% smaller than the raw rasher you put in.

Our flagship Cheshire Oak brand wet cure bacon uses the minimum amount of water required for wet cured product, and we use only traditional Wiltshire curing ingredients.

Yes the minimum order quantity is 1 pallet of goods, however this can be a pallet of mixed products, all we ask is that you order a minimum of 40 cases of product.
